While the overall beneficiary of the event is the Scripps Cancer Center, Stevens Division, the proceeds from the Fund-an-Item portion of the live auction will support the Scripps Polster Breast Care Center. We are proud to offer you an opportunity to support breast care right here in your own backyard. Every dollar donated to the Scripps Polster Breast Care Center will serve patients right here in San Diego. Scripps Polster Breast Care Center is the first facility in San Diego to offer personalized, comprehensive, compassionate breast care in one convenient location. Serving over 20,000 patients per year with experience and expertise, the Scripps Polster Breast Care Center provides the latest technology for screening and diagnosis. The Scripps Polster Breast Care Center relies on philanthropy to deliver this state-of-the-art care. On-site radiologists provide timely test results, and all digital screening mammograms are analyzed by a computer- aided detections system. Registered nurses provide community outreach and education about breast cancer, self-examination and general breast health. Women living with breast cancer have the opportunity to talk with counselors, join support groups and to be mentored by breast cancer survivors. Scripps Polster Breast Care Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), and designated as an ACR “Breast Center of Excellence.” Our center is certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and accredited by the American College of Surgeons and The Joint Commission. Every dollar raised will go to patient screening, diagnostics and support.
