- Assess the effect of brain injury on family and social dynamics.
- Cite health care delivery trends and their impact on long-term brain injury management, acute care, and prevention.
- Interpret recent research and its potential impact on practice outcomes.
- Employ multidisciplinary treatment strategies for sleep disturbances, concussion, and substance abuse in brain injury rehabilitation patients.
- Identify risk factors for falls and develop an assessment tool for inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
- Demonstrate the role of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists in the rehabilitation process.
- Define the challenges of assessment and treatment of children with traumatic brain injury.
- Discuss the life long, post-acute rehabilitation needs of individuals with TBI and the importance of developing care plans.
- Integrate new developments in science and medicine into practice for brain injury rehabilitation.
- Identify the unique challenges faced by health care providers and family members caring for TBI patients, and incorporate interventions to reduce stress and fatigue.
- Improve quality of life for brain injury survivors and their caregivers by connecting them with community resources.
