Join Scripps in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Scripps is the flagship sponsor of the 2015 American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at 8 a.m. in Balboa Park, located on the corner of 6th Ave. and Laurel St. We invite you to join “Team Scripps” and participate in the event, which includes a non-competitive walk with distances between 3 to 5 miles, educational booths and inspirational speakers.

This year, more than 200,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to research, improved screening, new treatments, skilled clinicians and greater patient empowerment, more women than ever are surviving the disease and thriving as mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and cousins.
