Learn How to Cope with Stress, Pain and Illness
This intensive eight-week training in the use of mindfulness meditation and yoga teaches skills that can help cope with stress, pain and illness.
The approach combines breath awareness, meditation, yoga and other mind-body methods to help you achieve serenity, health and well-being in your everyday life.
If you often feel stressed or anxious, have chronic pain or problems sleeping this program may benefit you. It also can be highly effective in for headaches, gastrointestinal problems and high blood pressure.
Dates
Held each Tuesday, the eight-week course starts January 26, 2016 and ends March 15, 2016. The day-long retreat, Saturday Day of Mindfulness, is on March 5, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost
The program is $495 and includes the all-day retreat, CDs and program manual. Partial scholarships are available based upon financial need. Scripps Health employees receive a 20 discount.
