Course Description

Scripps Cancer Center’s Oncology Nurses Symposium is designed for nurses and other health care professionals dedicated to the field of oncology. During this three and a half day conference, attendees will benefit from an intimate learning environment in which renowned faculty will present the latest in oncology care and provide practical strategies and tools to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes. The program itself is designed to provide a generous amount of CE credits while offering participants the chance to interact and create networks with colleagues.

The course will explore the latest information on various types of cancers including: melanoma, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers and leukemia. Treatment advances, genetic risk, symptom management and prevention and detection will also be discussed. In addition to offering strong clinical content from leading experts, the Oncology Nurses Symposium will delve into human factor issues facing oncology health care professionals today and offer a reminder of why oncology nurses are so critical to patient care.
