Initiation and Management of Insulin and Incretin Therapy
Explore barriers to insulin initiation by patients and healthcare providers. Describe the action, use, and costs of current insulin preparations. Using case studies, the attendee will learn how to calculate and titrate basal and prandial insulin doses as well as incretin and pancreatic hormone therapy for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Increase your skills with insulin pen devices, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitors.
