Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY-1)
Scripps Health, a nonprofit community health system, offers several 12-month American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)-accredited pharmacy resident programs. The postgraduate programs (PGY-1) are designed to develop skilled clinicians that can deliver pharmaceutical care in a variety of health care settings.
The pharmacy practice residency programs at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla focus on pharmacotherapy, project management skills, research and teaching in a decentralized pharmacy setting.
The pharmacy departments are open 24/7 and include a central pharmacy along with inpatient satellite locations. Our pharmacists provide a broad range of clinical services and work collaboratively with the health care team.
