Scripps Clinic Internal Medicine Residency Program

More than 60 percent of the residents in the Scripps Clinic Internal Medicine Residency program remain at Scripps after their residency either as fellows or staff.
In 2009, the Scripps Clinic internal medicine residency and fellowship program earned a coveted 5 year accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Grounded in a solid commitment to excellence in patient care and biomedical research and medical education, the residency program at Scripps Clinic offers a unique learning experience for residents because of the strong collaborative relationship between Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Clinic – a private medical group of 430+ physicians practicing in more than 50 medical and surgical specialties.
With 12 residents at each level and more than 30 sub-specialty fellows enrolled every year, our academic programs provide rich learning experiences and unique opportunities for close, collaborative relationships between the house staff and well-respected teaching faculty members.
The application deadline is December 1, 2011. For more information, read how to apply, or contact the department of graduate medical education at 858-554-3236.
