All appointments for the PGY1 level are obtained through the National Resident Matching Program’s ERAS 2012 (Electronic Residency Application Service) program. To submit an application to the Scripps Clinic-Scripps Green Hospital program, please use ERAS 2012. The application deadline is December 1, 2011.

For the 2012 match, Scripps Clinic-Scripps Green Hospital will have 10 categorical positions and one physician-scientist position all within the match. There will be no 1-year positions.

Our NRMP Hospital Code Number is #1340140C0 (#1340140C1 for the IM/Research Position).

Our application requirements are: ERAS Common Application Form (CAF) and Personal Statement, the Dean’s Letter (MSPE) and Transcripts from your medical school, your USMLE Step I and Step II transcripts as they become available, and a minimum of three letters of recommendation in support of your application. Two of the three letters should be from members of your school’s department of medicine, with one of these two being from the chairperson (or his/her designee).

Applications will be accepted from students graduating from medical schools accredited by the Liaison Council on Medical Education and the American Osteopathy Association. Applications from students graduating from medical schools outside of the United States will be reviewed only if students have received a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates prior to appointment, if the students have received a Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter from the Medical Board of California, and if the students meet strict academic criteria set by the program director.

Scripps Clinic/Scripps Green Hospital does not sponsor any visas.

Interviews

The interviews for our 2012 positions will be scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays starting November 14, 2011 and will extend to January 24, 2012. Interviews are arranged by invitation only, with a limited number of spaces for each date. If you are selected for an interview you will receive an invitation to schedule an interview through ERAS E-Mail or through the regular mail.
