The adolescent intensive outpatient program
The Scripps drug and alcohol treatment program operates a 12-week intensive outpatient program for adolescents with substance-abuse issues. The program is a 12-week course of treatment, which meets three days (nine hours) per week at the center. Sessions are conducted after school at 3:30 p.m. The program is open to all adolescents up to age 18 — if still enrolled in school — or 17 if already graduated. Once enrolled, students and their families receive education and support services to avoid substance-abuse problems and make positive lifestyle choices.
Help for teens and parents
In order to help parents understand adolescent alcohol or substance abuse, the Scripps drug and alcohol treatment program offers free, weekly informational adolescent intervention seminars. Seminars are open to anyone interested in learning more about the widespread problem of adolescent addiction.
The Scripps drug and alcohol treatment program is contracted with most major insurance companies. For more information, to set up an assessment or to enroll a young adult, call 858-626-4300.
