Project Dulce Brings Diabetes Management Classes to the Community

Peer educators are teaching essential self-management techniques to diabetes patients across San Diego County, in a program called Project Dulce. The classes at local community clinics target underserved, ethnically diverse groups, and adapt the class content to the specific cultural needs of each group.

Project Dulce is a partnership between Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute and community health organizations.
