“Consumer Choice” Award Goes to Scripps La Jolla for 7th Consecutive Year

La Jolla, Calif.Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has won the National Research Corporation’s (NRC) Consumer Choice Award for the seventh consecutive year. The award honors hospitals which healthcare consumers have rated as having the highest quality and image in over 250 markets throughout the U.S. Scripps La Jolla has been given this prestigious honor eight out of the past nine years.

Winners are determined based on consumer perceptions collected in the annual NRC Healthcare Market Guide Study (HMGS), the nation’s largest and most comprehensive consumer perception study of its kind. This year, 250,000 households were surveyed. The award is based on ratings from health care consumers, who assessed hospital standings based on four metrics: best overall quality, best image/reputation; best doctors, and best nurses.

“It is an honor to receive Consumer Choice Award for the seventh year in a row. This is a testament to the commitment and dedication that we have in providing excellent patient care,” says Gary G.
