Scripps Cancer Survivor Shares Healing Power of Music on KUSI-TV

Scripps breast cancer survivor Sue Palmer appeared on the KUSI Morning News June 9 for a rousing boogie woogie piano performance. Sue says her love of music played a big role in her recovery from cancer 10 years ago — and she performed for the hundreds of people who attended Cancer Survivors Day June 10 at Scripps Green Hospital. The overall cancer survival rate has increased to about 70 percent today, compared to about 50 percent 30 years ago. This is due largely to improved treatments, better diagnostics and greater awareness of screenings.
