Scripps Helps Clarify Confusion on Prostate Cancer Screenings

To help clarify the emerging public confusion about prostate cancer screenings, Dr. Carol Salem of Scripps Health appeared recently on the San Diego 6 Morning News. The interview offers a glimpse into a free educational program Scripps will host Wednesday, July 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Scripps is offering the program in light of a federal health panel’s recently approved recommendation against routine prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening for men of all ages.
