Fitch Affirms 'AA-' Debt Rating for Scripps

Firm says the financial outlook for the health system is 'stable'

The credit ratings agency Fitch Ratings has affirmed its “AA-” rating of Scripps Health, citing the health system’s “strong” financial performance and “excellent” management practices.


“Fitch believes Scripps Health’s history of consistently strong financial performance is a reflection of a strong management team that has focused on enhancing productivity, investing in infrastructure, expanding operations, and maintaining cost control vigilance,” the ratings agency said in its recent report on health system.


Fitch said its outlook for Scripps was “stable.”
