Medicare Open Enrollment Season is Here: Take Action Oct. 15 to Dec. 7
KPBS, KUSI feature Scripps Medicare expert, highlight free Medicare classes
As Baby Boomers age into Medicare, there is a constant need for timely information about the many Medicare plans to consider, how to enroll and when. In San Diego County, Scripps Health is a trusted source for Medicare information.
The annual fall Medicare open enrollment period runs from Oct. 15 until Dec. 7. Scripps plans to hold free Medicare presentations in October and November in La Jolla, San Diego, Carlsbad and Escondido to help existing, new and soon-to-be retirees get a handle on how Medicare works and what options and benefits are available.
News media interest in Medicare is also peaking. KUSI’s Good Morning San Diego and KPBS Evening Edition recently featured Marc Reynolds, corporate senior vice president for payer relations for Scripps Health, discussing what Medicare-eligible people must do during open enrollment.
