Scripps Experts Urge Vaccination Against Meningitis

Shawn Evans, MD, emergency medicine physician at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, spoke with KUSI News about meningitis, how the disease is spread and the importance of vaccination against the virus.

Martin Griglak, MD, also a Scripps Memorial emergency medicine specialist, said in another interview with KUSI that it’s not entirely clear why some people who are exposed to the bacteria become sick while others don’t.
