Scripps CEO Talks About His Book on KPBS

Scripps Health President and CEO Chris Van Gorder discussed his new book “The Front-Line Leader: Building a High-Performance Organization from the Ground Up” during a recent appearance on the KPBS news program “Evening Edition.”

“It’s real easy to lose context on what is important unless you spend time on the front line with your employees,” he told reporter Amita Sharma. “It’s your employees who are important; it’s the patient who is important.”
