Public Invited to Learn About Cancer Clinical Research at Scripps March 8

Free program to explore a variety of cancer clinical research options

Pr Cancer Speaker Series 600×375

San Diego County residents can learn about the latest developments in clinical research for cancer care at a free public presentation on Sunday, March 8, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Scripps Radiation Therapy Center in La Jolla.

Leading the program will be Scripps Cancer Center medical directors Michael Kosty, MD; James Sinclair, MD; and William Stanton, MD. Scripps offers access to clinical research trials to its patients when appropriate for their treatment plans. By applying new interventions available in these trials, Scripps participates in the most up-to-date options in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatments.

The event is hosted by Scripps Health Foundation and is the first program in a 2015 oncology distinguished speaker series. Scripps Radiation Therapy Center is located at 10670 John Jay Hopkins Drive. Advance registration is required by calling 858-678-6661, or by emailing vansickel.stephanie@scrippshealth.org.
