In two recent news articles, Scripps Clinic gastroenterologist Walter Coyle, MD, offered his perspective on recent developments in colorectal cancer screening. He said deaths from colorectal cancers in the United States have dropped by 40 percent during the past decade, due in part to greater awareness and screening. Dr. Coyle also discussed new screening options available to patients.
