How to Get Scripps Care Through Covered California
The Covered California health insurance marketplace — also known as the health insurance exchange — is now giving people of all ages, income levels and existing health conditions access to more affordable and comprehensive health coverage.
The open enrollment period for Covered California begins Oct. 1, 2013 and ends March 31, 2014. During this time frame, consumers will be able to visit the health insurance exchange online, fill out an application, and see the available health plans and prices.
Finding Scripps providers on the health insurance exchange
Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center doctors are in-network providers on the following health plans offered by Covered California:
- Blue Shield PPO: Platinum, gold, silver and bronze levels
- Health Net PPO: Bronze level
Finding these health plans may require you to scroll through all the options displayed on the Covered California website. Selecting them ensures you and your loved ones have access to Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center doctors and services, as well as all of the services available through Scripps’ five hospital campuses.
