Denise Coyle, MD

Dr. Coyle received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadephia and graduated magna cum laude with her bachelors in biology from La Salle University also in Philadelphia. She completed her residency at Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore.

Dr. Coyle is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a Diplomate with the National Board of Medical Examiners. Prior to joining Scripps Clinic, Dr. Coyle practiced with Tricare Prime at MCAS Miramar. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the California Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Coyle and her husband moved to San Diego in 2001. Her husband, also a physician, is retiring from the military after 20 years of service and after living throughout the U.S., the Coyles and their two active teenagers have chosen to settle in San Diego. Dr. Coyle has been a church school teacher for more than ten years and enjoys traveling with her family.
