Tanja Crockett, MD

Tanja Crockett M.D. is a member of the Department of Family Medicine at Scripps Clinic and is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree in biology, cum laude, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She completed an internship and residency in family medicine at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), where she served as chief resident.

Dr. Crockett has given several lectures in the community on the importance of cancer screening. She has volunteered with the UCSD Student Run Free Clinics providing care for the homeless in downtown San Diego, and has provided care in rural clinics in Honduras. Dr. Crockett is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and sits of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Academy of Family Physicians.

Her special interests include women’s health, obesity and minor dermatological procedures.
