Margaret Drehobl, MD

Family medicine specialist, Margaret Drehobl, MD, believes in collaborating with her patients to formulate the best treatment options. She fully supports her patients in becoming as informed as possible about their condition which means answering questions to the fullest. She also thinks it’s important to get to know her patients and to find out what motivates them to develop a plan that keeps them at the optimum level of health.

In addition to providing comprehensive primary care, Dr. Drehobl very much believes in preventative care. She believes that patients should be treated on the minimal amount of therapy to meet treatment goals and that many conditions can be treated with lifestyle modifications. Dr. Drehobl is especially interested in preventative care in the metabolic areas, including cardiac care, diabetes, thyroid disorders, and weight management. She is also very interested in helping patients, both men and women, maintain sexual health over the age of 50.

Dr. Drehobl has served as a principle investigator in over 600 clinical trials related to the testing and development of multiple new drugs over the last 20 years. Although she no longer participates in these studies, she has gained much experience in drug safety and side effects, as well as the effectiveness of multiple classes of drugs.

In her spare time, Dr. Drehobl enjoys skiing, entertaining and cooking for friends, Sudoku and crossword puzzles, and traveling. She also spends a fair amount of time reading and enjoys medical subjects, as well as history and anthropology.
