John Harrington, MD

Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. John Harrington received his medical training at Villanova University and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Dr Harrington specializes in Cardiology with an expertise in Interventional Cardiology. He is a former Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Naval Medical Center San Diego (1994), Director of Interventional Cardiology at the Naval Medical Research Institute Bethesda NNMC (1996) and Medical Director Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at the Naval Medical Center San Diego (1996). He continues to participate as an instructor for UCSD medical students. In 1992 he received the Best Teacher Award for Internal Medicine Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. Dr. Harrington has also twice won the Navy Commendation Medal and achieved Surface Warfare Officer qualification.
