Steven Higgins, MD
Dr. Higgins has been practicing medicine since 1985 and has updated board certifications and recertifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Higgins received his medical degree from the University of Rochester in 1979. He served his internship and residency at the University of Colorado, specializing in internal medicine. He completed a three-year fellowship in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Colorado in 1985. Dr. Higgins was the founder and remains the director of electrophysiology at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla. He also serves as co-director of the catheterization labs at Scripps La Jolla.
