Merritt Hougen, MD

A member of the Division of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hougen received his medical degree from Stanford University and completed his residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. He also earned a minor in health systems from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Hougen received a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the physics of fluids. His interests include general internal medicine, international patients and sports medicine. Previously, he was an internist for the San Diego Padres.
