Arash Izadpanah, MD
Dr. Izadpanah is a board certified dermatologist who is currently the Secretary-Treasurer of the San Diego Dermatological Society (2009) and will serve as the society President in 2010. Dr. Izadpanah is also a board of director of the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery (CalDerm).
Dr. Izadpanah completed his medical training at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine after graduating summa cum laude with a degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Izadpanah’s postgraduate work includes an internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital and residency in dermatology at UCSD Medical Center. While at UCSD, he published multiple journal articles and conducted basic research, as well as clinical trials related to dermatology. Dr. Izadpanah is a former fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. During his training he has received grants from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, American Heart Association and American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology among others.
Dr. Izadpanah’s medical interests include general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is trained in surgical and laser procedures of the skin. Dr. Izadpanah annually volunteers internationally as a visiting dermatologist. His hobbies include tennis and caring for his growing collection of tropical fruit trees.
