Lee Kaplan, MD
Lee Kaplan, MD, has been practicing clinical dermatology in San Diego since 1981. He has wide-ranging interests within general dermatology, with special expertise in phototherapy and psoriasis therapy.
Prior to coming to Scripps, Dr. Kaplan served as Director of Clinical Dermatology at UCSD, Chief of Dermatology at the VA Medical Center in San Diego, and is a Past President of the San Diego Dermatological Society.
In addition to practicing dermatology at Scripps, Dr. Kaplan is involved in medical teaching, and speaks at postgraduate medical courses throughout the country. He frequently lectures at Wilderness Medicine conferences on the topics of sun protection, insect repellents and poison oak/ivy/sumac rashes.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kaplan enjoys traveling, hiking and reading.
