Harry Knowles Jr., MD

Board certified in radiology, Harry J. Knowles Jr., M.D., graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical University in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internship at Georgetown University, where he also served his surgical residency. He also served a residency in radiology at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. An interventional radiology fellow at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center, Dr. Knowles’ areas of expertise include stents, stent grafts, angioplasty, radiation therapy of arteries, thrombolysis, embolization, treatment of venous disease and non-surgical treatment of carotid arteries. He also specializes in tumor therapy, biliary interventions, urinary tract interventions, gastrointestinal interventions and non-surgical biopsies of most organs. Currently, Dr. Knowles is the division head of Interventional Radiology at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines.
