James Lin, MD

Internal medicine specialist, James Lin, MD, emphasizes prevention and believes that quality health care is best achieved through strong patient-physician relationships and open communication.

Dr. Lin provides comprehensive primary care for patients ages sixteen and up and has a special interest in hyperlipidemia (high blood cholesterol or lipid disorder) and hypertension (high blood pressure). Dr. Lin is also interested in travel medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lin has been the recipient of multiple honors and awards including being named as one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America from 2008-2011.

Dr. Lin has volunteered his services on medical missions in Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Prior to joining Scripps Clinic, Dr. Lin practiced medicine in Evanston, Illinois, where he was a faculty member at Northwestern University.
