Laurence Tanaka, MD

Dr. Tanaka has been practicing medicine since 1978 and was board certified in Surgery in 1982. Dr. Tanaka received his medical degree from Tulane University in 1971. He served his internship at Harkness Community Hospital and received his surgical training in general surgery at Harkness Community Hospital Surgery Residency Program and at the University of Hawaii Integrated Surgical Residency Program. He served two years in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. He returned to San Diego in 1979 and established a general surgery practice.
