Christopher Uchiyama, MD, PhD
Christopher Uchiyama, MD, joined Scripps in 2001 where he currently serves as the division head for neurosurgery.
Dr. Uchiyama has clinical expertise in brain and spinal surgery, with special expertise in complex cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgery, pituitary tumors, brain and spinal tumors and general neurosurgery. He also performs cervical artificial disc replacement.
He is a member of several professional societies and has been the recipient of many honors and awards for his work in clinical research.
