Angela Wang, MD
A member of the Division of Chest & Critical Care, Dr. Wang received her medical degree in 1984 from the University of Hawaii School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Stanford University. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Medical Center and Hospital in Chicago and a postdoctoral fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Wang serves as principal investigator for numerous scientific research projects and has authored articles and reviews on a variety of topics for medical journals. Board certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Wang is a member of American Thoracic Society and the California Thoracic Society and holds a variety of positions in both organizations. She serves as associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of California San Diego and is a reviewer for the American Lung Association’s Research Grant Review Committee.
Dr. Wang’s interests include piano, cooking and running.
