Robert Barone, MD
Dr. Barone has been practicing medicine since 1976 and was board certified in Surgery in 1973. Dr. Barone received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1966. He served his internship specializing in Surgery at the University of Illinois and served his residency specializing in Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois. He had a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Illinois Hospitals. He presently is Director of Surgical Oncology Services at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Society of Surgical Oncology. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Membership Committee of the Society of Surgical Oncology. He is an active member in the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Society of Head and Neck Surgeons, Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Barone is the special investigator on a number of cancer treatment protocols. His practice is limited to surgical treatment of breast, colon, rectal, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue cancers and melanoma.
