A member of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Torrey Pines, Dr. Botte received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and served his internship and residency at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). His special training includes fellowships in hand and microvascular surgery at UCSD, foot surgery and neuromuscular reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, Downey, CA and hand surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. A Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCSD, Dr. Botte is also a consultant to Children’s Hospital’s Motion Analysis Lab and Muscle Disease Clinic. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Foot and Ankle Society, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Botte joined Scripps Clinic in 1996.
