Karen Herbst, MD

Dr. Karen Herbst received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2000 and her medical degree in 2004 from New York Medical College. Dr. Herbst returned to her hometown of San Diego and completed her postgraduate training in internal medicine at Scripps Mercy Hospital, where she served as chief medical resident. During her residency, Dr. Herbst received many awards and accolades, including Intern of the Year in 2005.

Dr. Herbst is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Medical Association. Dr. Herbst believes in providing sound medicine, healing when possible and comfort to all patients. She believes that educating patients is fundamental to better health and allows for a partnership in the patient’s well being.
