Biography

Dr. Kulhanek specializes in all aspects of general cardiovascular health. Board-certified in echocardiology, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Kulhanek completed a cardiology fellowship at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University.


Dr. Kulhanek’s clinical expertise and interests include echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology procedures, as well, as non-invasive CT coronary angiography. He also performs a wide array of procedures, including coronary angiography, stenting, balloon angioplasty and vascular interventions.


Dr. Kulhanek strives to help patients suffering from chest discomfort, shortness of breath, swelling, leg pain when walking, irregular heart beat and other issues. He has more than 16 years of medical experience and has been honored as a San Diego Top Doctor for cardiology.
