Lynn Weston, MD

Lynn Weston, MD, specializes in general surgery and is fellowship trained in colon and rectal surgery. This has given her the expertise and experience throughout her career to take care of all colon and rectal diseases as well as many general surgical problems, for instance, hernias and gallstones.

Dr. Weston is skilled in performing surgery with laparoscopic and robotic techniques as well as standard open operations. She feels it is important to have skills in all these technologies so that she can tailor the use of the most appropriate technology to the problem of the individual patient

Today, patients often have choices of various medical and surgical options to manage their illness or symptoms. Dr. Weston feels it is her responsibility to try to educate patients as to the choices available to them and the pros and cons of each strategy. She is committed to doing the best she can by each person and strives to approach her patients in the way she would want to be taken care of if she were the patient herself.

In her spare time, Dr. Weston enjoys outdoor activities in beautiful San Diego and elsewhere, traveling to places in the world where she can experience not only interesting scenery but also different languages and cultures, vegetable gardening, reading, and getting together with friends and family.
