Gilda Tafreshi, MD
Dr. Tafreshi serves as the medical director for Scripps Mercy Hospital’s Stroke Program. Her goal for the stroke program is to continue to provide optimal care for stroke patients and their families. She is an advocate for community stroke awareness and enjoys teaching acute stroke and stroke prevention. Dr. Tafreshi is dedicated to participating in acute stroke research to promote and provide the latest advances in stroke treatment. She recently finished a two-year stroke fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. Throughout her fellowship, she responded to stroke codes in the community, participated in research, and educated patients, colleagues and peers regarding stroke. Dr. Tafreshi continues to strive to improve and develop relationships with patients, staff and colleagues.
