A staple of Italian cuisine, this exceedingly simple salad takes just 10 minutes to make. Fresh mozzarella makes for a low sodium recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 large tomato, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of garlic powder
- 2 ounces fresh mozzarella, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- Freshly ground black pepper
Directions

- Season tomato slices with salt and garlic powder.
- Stack one mozzarella slice, one tomato slice, and one basil leaf and arrange stacks on plate.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with oregano and freshly ground black pepper.
