Black Bean Dip Recipe

This bean dip recipe is easy to make, delicious and heart healthy. It’s packed with vitamins and minerals, but only 1 gram of fat.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) organic black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup nonfat sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder (or chipotle chili powder)
  • 2 Tbsp shredded low-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 red onion, diced
  • 3 green onions, chopped

Directions

  1. In a food processor purée beans, sour cream and chili powder. Transfer puréed mixture to a microwave-safe bowl. Add cheese and microwave on high for 30 seconds, or until cheese is melted. Mix thoroughly. Add tomato, red onion and green onion and mix well. Serve warm.
