Grilled Pineapple Recipe

Grilling recipes aren’t just for burgers. You can top off your burger cookout with a tropical treat that’s a perfect side dish or dessert for summer: grilled pineapple with a touch of honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 large pineapple, peeled and cored
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp grated lime zest

Directions

  1. Cut pineapple crosswise into wedges. In a shallow glass dish, stir together honey and lime juice, and add pineapple, turning to coat evenly. Marinate, turning occasionally, for 30 minutes.
  2. Lightly coat a grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Heat grill to medium heat. Drain pineapple, reserving marinade. Grill pineapple, turning once and basting with reserved marinade, until grill marks appear and pineapple is heated through, about 4 minutes. Serve pineapple sprinkled with lime zest.
