Homemade Applesauce Recipe

Use this fat free recipe for a healthy snack or to make applesauce pops!

Ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 2 tbsp honey

Directions

  1. Peel and quarter apples. Remove the seeds and core. Put the apples in a pot with enough water or apple juice to cover the bottom of the pot. Bring the liquid to a boil and simmer until the apples are soft, making sure the apples don't burn on the bottom.
  2. Remove soft apples and mash with a potato masher for a rough, chunky sauce, or pureƩ in a processor for a fine sauce. Sweeten to taste with honey.
