A Network of Cancer Treatment Experts
If you are facing a cancer diagnosis, Scripps can help. We mobilize the collective resources of five hospital campuses, affiliated physicians across San Diego County, one-of-a-kind treatment facilities and a renowned research center to help patients who have cancer. These providers work collaboratively on cancer prevention, early cancer detection and coordinated cancer treatment.
Patients are at the center of cancer treatment planning
If you have cancer, your treatment planning will begin with one question: What are your goals, and how can we best proceed together to help you achieve them?
Throughout treatment, your care team members will meet regularly to discuss your needs and progress. These medical professionals work collaboratively with you to develop an optimal, individualized care plan.
We offer a range of cancer treatments and healing approaches, including integrative medicine, that create a unique experience for each person, with the ultimate goal of promoting healing and enhancing quality of life.
A multidisciplinary collaborative team
Our multidisciplinary approach ensures a comprehensive, expert treatment plan that pairs leading-edge technology with an experienced, respectful care staff who are sensitive to the whole person.
Patients benefit from a collective array of cancer-specific personnel and services, as well as collaboration between leading researchers and practicing cancer clinicians that brings the latest medical knowledge to the bedside.
Cancer treatment specialists
Because of our strong commitment to medical education and training future cancer specialists, most of our patients will have a hematology/oncology fellow on their care team. Our hematology and oncology fellows, who are licensed physicians seeking additional specialized training in cancer treatment, work alongside our attending oncologists to make sure patients are receiving the most comprehensive care.
Our oncologists treat a variety of cancers:
