Detection and Diagnosis

Imaging and Genetic Counseling

Scripps Health emphasizes early detection, and encourages women to receive annual clinical exams by a health care professional. Be sure to discuss any individual needs directly with him or her.

It’s also important that women be especially aware of any changes in the look or feel of their breasts. They may want to ask their doctor about the benefits and limitations of breast self-examinations.
