Your generosity makes a difference
Generous donations to Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute have helped enable us to carry out the following important programs:
- Inpatient diabetes management to implement innovative and optimized diabetes care in the hospital environment, including expert diabetes teams, electronic data reports and evidence-based insulin protocols.
- Outpatient diabetes management to deliver creative, personalized care for our diabetes patients. This includes nutrition counseling, weight loss management, diabetes education, continuous glucose management, insulin management and insulin pump starts.
- Clinical research to develop new and improved diabetes treatments and protocols that make a difference today and for our future generations.
- Project Dulce to address the alarming unmet need of diabetes patients in high-risk, underserved communities. Project Dulce has achieved remarkable results in improving health status and quality of life for over 18,000 underinsured or uninsured patients.
- Professional education and training programs to train our health professionals in the state-of-the-art delivery of diabetes care.
