Body-mind lecture series
Mondays, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Explore health from a physical, mental and spiritual perspective. Lectures are given by our physicians and other expert clinical staff. A new topic is discussed each week. Topics include weight management, nutrition, spirituality, exercise, prevention, pain management, supplements, stress management, navigating the health care system and more. Group exercise classes
Give your fitness program a boost with a variety of group exercise classes offered by dynamic instructors that know how to get you motivated. Healing from the inside out
Thursdays, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Let your inner wisdom guide you through the maze of life. In this weekly support group, Robert J. Solomon, M.D., will show you how to access the source of your well-being, regardless of life’s circumstances. Learn how to reduce stress and anxiety levels, improve your quality of life, enhance mental clarity and focus, improve mood and have more energy and more creativity. Kundalini yoga for health and healing
Saturdays, 9 – 10 a.m.
Wednesdays, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m.
You’ll perform yoga techniques to awaken your energy source. Kundalini yoga blends the ancient techniques of movement (asana), breath exercise (pranayama), meditation (dhyana) and sound current (mantra). These exercises are symptom and system specific. Music and wellness
Mondays, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Qigong
Mondays, 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.
Thursdays, 2-3 p.m. (Tai Chi/Qigong)
Qigong is an ancient Chinese healing art that uses gentle flowing movement, healing sounds, conscious intention and breath exercises to support your body’s natural healing abilities. This deeply relaxing meditative and subtle mind-body exercise helps to restore vital energy and inner peace. Qigong is easy to learn and has been shown to help people with a variety of health concerns. Beginners are welcome. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Spirituality
Fridays, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Each class will include a topic, meditation, sharing and discussion with the group. Different methods of meditation using visual symbols, guided imagery, sound, music or movement will be explored. Vegetarian cooking school
Wednesdays, 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
With an emphasis on whole grains, beans, fresh fruits and vegetables, learn how to prepare healthy and delicious vegetarian meals with ingredients such as tempeh, soy and quinoa. Take home all of the recipes demonstrated by the chef and enjoy tasty samples during the class. Women with heart disease: a support group
Tuesdays, 5 – 6 p.m. (every third Tuesday of the month)
This support group is for women who have had heart attacks, bypass surgeries, angioplasty and/or stents or similar experiences. The purpose of the meetings is to provide women with heart disease an opportunity to network, share their stories and support each other. For more information, or to register, call 858-554-3320.
