Heroes, right here

Heroes, right here

At Scripps, you’ll find health care heroes everywhere. Not only are they doctors and nurses out on the frontlines of care, but they are also behind the scenes. These heroes process lab results, fill prescriptions, clean our sites, sterilize equipment and do so much more.

They all work together, united in their mission, to keep you healthy. They are #ScrippsHealthStrong.

Read, watch and listen to their stories.

Other ways to show support

In addition to offering messages of hope and support, here are some additional ways you can get involved.

Donate supplies

In this unprecedented time, the San Diego community has come together to help us combat COVID-19. Thank you to the hundreds of individuals and companies that have stepped forward with donations of medical supplies and other goods. As we continue to care for COVID-19 patients, we want you to know we appreciate the support and welcome additional donations to ensure our staff, physicians and patients have what they need to get through this crisis. While we currently have the appropriate masks and other supplies on hand to provide necessary protection, our supply cycles are not guaranteed.

To further boost our supply, we are gladly accepting donations of:

  • N95 masks/respirators
  • Surgical/procedural masks
  • Cloth masks and cone masks
  • Isolation gowns
  • Non-latex gloves
  • Disinfecting wipes and cleaners
  • Bottled gel hand sanitizer

Whether you’re able to help a little or a lot, thank you for thinking of us at Scripps. It’s heartwarming to know the people of San Diego want to care for us as we care for them.

Please contact us first at corpsupplychain@scrippshealth.org so we can discuss your donation and arrange for delivery.

Give now

Many people have asked what they can do to help our doctors and staff. While we continue to ensure our physicians, nurses and staff have the resources they need to safely care for patients, we have established a special Scripps COVID-19 Fund to directly support our response to the health care needs of our community during this unprecedented time.

Gifts made to the Scripps COVID-19 Fund will help us pay for supplies, care for patients and support the staffing and operations fully focused on combating this virus and keeping our community safe. You can also share a message of thanks and inspiration using our online tribute form. Thank you for your support.
