Programs and Classes

The City Heights Wellness Center helps promote healthy lifestyle choices among members of the community. It provides a host of culturally competent educational and social support activities in numerous languages. The educational programs are designed to ensure health and wellness information is provided in a way that embodies the cultural norms and traditions of community members.


The center offers the following:


  • Prenatal outreach and education
  • Family nutrition programs
  • Health education and safety program
  • Diabetes education programs offered through Scripps Whittier Institute’s Project Dulce
  • Infant and child nutrition including Women, Infants and Children (WIC) services
  • Food safety classes
  • Breastfeeding education and support services
  • Children’s fitness
  • Adult fitness classes including Zumba dance
